Sooooo can not seem to figure this situation out for the life of me.. Got new rack&pinion put in and when I go to start up I get the usual normal startup but a HEAVY smell of fuel out the back....
Any thoughts?

Doubtfully related.

Well yes I know this but ideally what would cause this smell to randomly just start. I've never had this happen on any of my other Zeds.

Two thing off the top of my head:
Leaking FPR: A failed diaphragm can cause this. Pull the vac hose from the top of it and see if it smells like raw fuel.If it does, replace the FPR.
Leaking injector: Inspect the sparkplugs and see if one of them are wetter than the others with raw fuel.
Or install new plugs and take a drive for a few miles then pull them and see which one fouls first.
The FSM has a injector test procedure too,
My 84T has a leaky fpr that I've been neglecting replacing until the weather warms up.

Failed CHTS too if itâs just exhaust fumes your smellling

A faulty or missing O2 sensor will cause an excessive rich condition, too

Did you check the ecu for codes?
