For some odd reason, my head lites on my 87 NT stay on all the time, even when the switch is on off. What do I need to check?

The contacts in the light switch often fail, but usually they fail open. Maybe the contacts fused closed.

I would still try removing the column trim and unplugging the switch to see if they go off.

my right hand headlight motor was causing my high beams to stay on
