Friend attempted to jump start my car and had the jumper cable on opposite stuff. Ground to postive and vice versa… It ended up burning through a wire in a box in front of the battery. I believe it is a fusible link but can't seem to find anything online to order a new one… What is this excact name of part so I can order it? Thanks in advance

Same thing happened to me, luckily the fuse did it's job and nothing else was damaged.

The exact name is "Fusible Link" and they are available through MSA

Is the MSA fusible link just wire or is it the whole connector as well?
