I am trying to have the convience of having another 12v outlet. I all ready have it drilled into my rear cabin area. Only problem I'm having is with the wiring. I originally was going to do this off a toggle switch but that is really inconvient so I'm wanting it to be set up off my ignition switch. I'm not too good with wiring but I can do the basic so take pity on me. Which wire and where is it located do I want to have this setup and turn off on the ignition switch?

Get a multimeter and see whats a 12v-on wiring in the dash. Then get a relay and create a circuit.

Google how to create a 12v-on relay circuit.

An easy and safest way to do it is just to tap into the same wire that plugs into the back of your cigarette lighter

with a bullet connector with one of these: gBkZtgg.jpg

Run the ground wire (-) to the chassis.

That way, you are using the same fuse as you normally would for the lighter circuit.
