Let's get the ball rolling on this people. Post your new stance with your new STANCE coilovers…let's get those who have the parts sitting in the garage get the inspiration to get them installed/get people hyped who are waiting on the next batch order list.

[archived image: DSC01091.jpg]

Still obscuring my drop further…will take care of it this spring break…

A big thanks again to Dave, TF Works, Stance, etc and those involved in providing "blueprints" for their development.

Please post a picture of your z slammed if you are going to post at all!

I cant wait to install mine. I live in an apartment complex and I got in trouble when I had my Z on jack stands getting ready to install the coilovers cuz some JERK called the manager on me for working on my car in the parking lot. Then funny thing is, where I park, no body else parks near me lol. Some people..... :-(

2+2s need at least an 18" wheel or drag steelies :-?

Greasedmonkey: (2012-02-15 18:38:30)

I cant wait to get mine on. I am gonna neeed spacers bad for the stock wheels.

Neil86t: (2012-02-15 18:42:37)

Gettin' there......

DavidA: (2012-02-15 22:30:06)

I used 10mm slip-ons without extended studs.

Sharpen047: (2012-02-21 18:41:22)

kouki front end needs paint. shot from rear instead

adamvann3: (2012-02-22 00:17:01)

g35 wheels? A little more spacer and an easy rear roll and it looks like you will get good alignment specs at that height.

Sharpen047: (2012-02-22 18:20:12)

toe is off by 1 degree between both wheels, camber mod done and have another subframe being welded here in the next few weeks to correct it all. 1.25" spacers but if i go lower front or rear it will rub even if i roll the fenders. will hit tread on quarter panel with more spacer. would go lower but there are speed bumps right outside my house and i can hear the rails touch as it sits now ha.

manrossdamn: (2012-02-22 18:52:35)

{{#if:| wrote:|Quote:}}

Can I ask where'd you get the 1.25" Spacers?

I need for 4 lug but if I can't find it, I'll just do the 5 lug conversion..

Sharpen047: (2012-02-23 18:23:05)

i went with an ebay brand, paid extra for grade 8 studs and t6061 billet aluminum. I ordered a few pair so i got a discount and paid about 120 for my four total. Spacers are 1/2" thick at the thinnest spot so im not worried about failure like the cheap..er..ies..?

manrossdamn: (2012-02-23 19:27:48)

{{#if:| wrote:|Quote:}}

hmm sounds good lol

the rims I want have a +35 offset in the front, good lord..

Priority is to get the Stance covered, then the wheels, buhaha

DavidA: (2012-02-24 11:45:12)

Why at least 18"? Because they look small on this car. look at my older one, these are white 18" and they look tiny.

zdriver_kado: (2012-03-06 19:59:32)

My new Stance:

Gonna order up some ichiba spacers today for the rear and then drop it another 1-1.5"

Edit: Scraped the rail on a drive today when I wasn't careful going over a road crest, think if I go lower it will have to be only a half inch more max to keep it bearable around the city.

Greasedmonkey: (2012-03-06 21:34:48)

I like those wheels. Looks nice.

-Strike-: (2012-03-06 21:37:29)

Nice!

zdriver_kado: (2012-03-07 02:58:31)

{{#if:| wrote:|Quote:}}

Thanks man. I was lucky the wheels came with the car, some kid in the boonies I bought it from was wanting the money back he paid for wheels & tires when he sold it to me. I still can't figure out the manufacturer but I assume they are old american racing wheels. I got an allignment today and any lower on the rear would hurt the handling more than it's worth. The rear will be fixed by multi-link swap but for now it's not terrible & I have tires to burn. The front is already where I want and I a bit lower would be fine as long as no bump-steer problems arrise.

Greasedmonkey: (2012-03-09 14:27:42)

That's about where I want mine for now as well. I have to get the s13 stuff to go any lower for my liking.

THEBEAST: (2012-04-16 20:03:19)

do the rear stance coilovers limit how wide wheel/tire can be?

Yea my suspension setup is as follows for everyone that has not seen it:

XXR 521 18x10 +12 offset square setup

Effective Front with 18mm slip on -6

Effective Rear with 10mm slip on + s13 rear's another 10mm -8

Q45 VLSD

Modded z32 aluminum spindles

Energy Suspension poly bushings

Stance Pro SS-D coils, 12k springs with helpers in the front

SPL Titanium RUCAs, Toe, and Traction rods

Still have to work out a few kinks here and there, but as of right now its handles great, now I'm just waiting on Battle Version front weld one LCA adjusters, Bump Steer spacers, modded knuckles(for teh angle), and Adjustable tension rods from TF or ASCO whoever finishes the pre 87+ ones first!

Looks great, and glad you finally installed them. I am glad you like ride as well… was worried you might find it too harsh. You can play with damping settings to make it smoother, too. Guessing a 4-5 all around should work for you.
