when adjusting base timing if you set it at 20 degrees would 10 degrees be advanced or retarded ? not that i would set it at 10 degrees i'm just using that as reference. 0 degrees is the first line to the left on the pulley with every line being 5 degrees currect?

10 degrees would be retarded compared to 20 degrees. Basically…
Higher number = advanced
Lower number = retarded

think about it in degrees BEFORE top dead center (0) and it makes sense. Yes, each mark is 5 degrees on our balancers.
