Anyone ever run a clutch made by Clutchmasters? I am about to go with their Stage 5 6 puck. Any feedback?

They have been around for a while. They must be doing something right in order to remain in competition.

Go with South Bend Clutch's "DXD" line.

You will hate life with a unsprung hub. As far as that goes i hate 6 pucks after i installed one for a friend.

I have a DXD now…

I went from a six puck Iron disk sprung hub which I loved. To a six puck unsprung. I have no problems with the unsprung hub. I love the six puck grabbyness. You slip it for a lil bit and then you can feel it lock up. It lets me know its strong and sticking.

I have driven other cars with unsprung 6 and 4 pucks and didn't have a problem with them. Some people like for a clutch to feel like stock only hold more power. For those people a dxd is perfect. For me a stockish feel to a clutch doesn't inspire much confidence that is is going to hold. The only downside to unsprung hubs is extra strain on a drivetrain especially with WOT shifts on the track.

Personal experience… I could not launch the car well at all with either a SPEC or ACT 6 puck unsprung. It was bog or spin, every time.
I also broke almost every single part in the driveline at least one time (trans, driveshaft, diff, half shaft) when I was running the ACT. Since using a full-face (not puck) sprung hub (not solid) clutch disc I have not broken any driveline parts at all. Sure, it held the torque…

Ive heard good and bad things about clutch masters..
I know a few people with some higher HP cars that dont care for their longevity.
Unsprung hubs suck for street driving, and they will kill your driveine.. very hard to slip an unsprung without making some chatter/jerkyness
Get a sprung 6 puck.. I have an ACT Sprung 6 puck .. Love it.
Personaly I hate stock pedal feel I love a heavy clutch pedal
