Trying to get the fill plug out of my 71C trans. It's square headed male (square comes out of plug). Does anyone know what size this is? I am having trouble fitting an adj. wrench in there because it's behind the header downpipe. [archived image: frown.png]

If you can find a 11/16" 8 point socket, That's right eight point socket. It worked for me. Otherwise pull the shifter to fill the trans.

Thanks!

Was thinking of picking this up… should do the trick? If not then yeah, going to fill through shifter.

Update: the set worked perfectly. The 19mm splined socket fit great!

Good to know. Now to remember that torque spec. on those plugs is 18 to 25 ft. lbs. Why some folks think they have to be super tight makes you wonder.[archived image: confused.png]
