Hi Guys,

I bought a second z31 turbo. However, it keeps smoking and stinking at an extreme rate. I already changed the turbo for another one from a scrapped car. Do you guys have any idea what is likely the issue ?

What does it smell like?

What do the plugs look like?

Coolant = sweet smell

Gas = fuel/petrol, obviously

Burning oil = burning oil (leakdown test to determine where the oil is leaking)

You can pull the plugs and inspect them too.

one way to see to check also is undo your oil cap on the valve cover and see if smoke comes out of there during idle.
