My cars HVAC does not work and it used to with my similar set-up. It only blows cold air and won't switch. Have tried everything including canister and I can't even get it back to only blowing hot air on defrost! Recently had my car in the air and saw a pump of some type in front of the radiator…assuming this is some sort of air pump? Anyhow there is a white tee that comes off the pump with 2 detachable pieces. Inside is a little spring and washer. One side was completely cracked off. Wondering if this was part of my issue? What piece is this as I'm having trouble finding it on courtesyparts - what does the pump do also (again right beneath the radiator in the front bumper).

If anyone could guide me to replacement parts or let me know if I can just throw a normal tee in place of it without all the springs inside to block the vacuum that would be great.

That's not the headlight washer pump, is it?

That makes a lot of sense…considering I took out the washer tank up front…
