After a weekend of hell-ish traffic driving in NYC, i noticed that my clutch friction point is a bit higher than normal.

I have yet to bleed my system (it has been roughly 14 months since the last time), so I am hoping that this will be the fix…

Does anyone else have experience with a a "higher" clutch friction point that a bleed seemed to fix?

(I am trying to avoid an entire clutch replacement, budget issues)

mine has done that twice and a bleed has helped both times. I may have a master cyl that is getting weak and leaking by causing it

yea i had a leak too, so i replaced the master+slave cylinder last year. but in that instance, i had ZERO clutch pressure lol

neone else have a similar problem that was resolved by fresh clutch (brake) fluid and a bleed?

If you're speaking of the location of the engagement of the clutch. There's also the possibilty that you wore the clutch down a bit. As a clutch wears out, the point of engagement gets higher on the pedal.

If what dave is saying is the case, then you can adjust the engagement point/clutch pedal position underneath the dash right near the top of the pedal arm.
