Hi,

I have a 1985 with a failing digital dash. Can i use a cluster from a 1987? do i have to change the harness? I can swap out the speed sensor and the fuel sensor for the analog ones .. or do i have to redo the pinouts on the plugs?

any guidance is appreciated.

Thank you

The harnesses have to be swaped with the cluster. Just find a replacement 84-86 Digi cluster. You already check the power supply for soldering joint problems?

ive checked and used two different power supplies and two different dash clusters. I keep thinking the used parts im getting are bad as well. Ive checked the wiring and im getting good signal for all the sensors and continuity is good thru the harness. i was just thinking it would cost less to buy all the parts to change to analog than to keep hoping the digital parts i buy are good.

Thank you for the response.

You can swap the cluster but like mentioned you must swap the harness as well.
