I have a 1987 300zx turbo and recently I had to replace the master and slave cylinder because they were both leaking fluid. Since the new master and slave were put in I can hear grinding in between shifts unless I wait to let the revs drop below 2,000 rpm. On top of that, the shifter in 4th gear shakes a lot. If it changes anything the previous owner installed a short shifter.

Are you 100% sure the system is bled correctly? If there is air in the system, your clutch slave will not move the fork all the way, and you would get the said grinding noise while shifting. I would get a friend over to push the pedal, and try bleeding the clutch system again.

I’ll make sure I check again. I’m lookinng st the Slave and when the clutch is pushed all the way it presses all the way.

checked the system and 100% sure it's not the clutch hydraulics. could it be from a bad throw out bearing?
