I have read a few times that when buying an aftermarket wheel you can get a 240sx or Sylvia hub adapter and they work. Does this mean we can swap in a 240sx or sylvia wheel for the Z31 wheel without a hub adapter?

No! What it means is that the steering shaft splines for the 240sx, Silvia, etc. are the same as the Z31. Therefor, a hub adapter for one will fit the others. Z31 hub adapters are avail from a number of aftermarket sellers. Nardi, Momo, Grant come to mind. I have a Momo Combat wheel in Zelda and found a used Momo adapter on Ebay for cheap. You can usually cross use adapters from different manufacturers for the wheels. Nardi adapter for a Momo wheel, etc.

Ok, that makes sense. Too bad, I always liked the stock wheel in my 240sx. My gll wheel has seen better days.
