OK, I'm going with coilovers. Who makes the direct fit, no BS stuff. Recommendations?

Stance and Powertrix are bolt on

Aren't they almost bolt on? Because you gotta weld the front hubs.

Yes, you have to weld the front strut tubes with the adapters.

Both stance and powertrix do.

If that's too much work… coilovers aren't for you!

No one sells a 100% bolt-on coilovers for the Z31. Powertrix and Stance are the only ones that sell almost bolt on coilovers. The rears are 100% bolt-on while the fronts requires you to cut and weld your stock strut tubes to the new coilovers.

If you send Stance or Powertrix a pair of front Z31 knuckles/hubs, they can weld them onto the front coilovers for you and then ship a set of coilovers back to you that WILL BE 100% bolt-on when you receive it.

Powertrix will be starting a group buy soon if you are truly in the market for good coilovers, and want to support a local business as their based out of San Diego, CA.

Powertrix's website lists their coilovers for $1,250+Shipping - for the optional welding service, you have to send them a spare pair of front knuckles/spindles. I think it's an additional $100 dollars or so for the welding service (you'd have to contact them and verify).

If you need help sourcing an extra set of front knuckles/spindles, I can help you source a pair and ship them directly to Powertrix for you (I'll accept PayPal).
