Does anyone happen to know if performing the coveted 87 ECU swap into an 85 has any effect on the digital dash readouts? Or should everything still function as normal?

Car electronics are where I am my most naive.

I can confirm that everything on the display will function the same as it did with the 85 ecu..

I've run 87 and 88 ecus in my 84 with an 84 and 85 digital display.

I've done the same with my 87 car with an 84T ECU. still works all the same. I think you'll be alright.
