I have a t5 transmission, and either the detent plate is worn, or a piece of debri made it seem so. I am wondering if anyone has a picture of the detent guide plate. Mine (well my sisters actually) has a much deeper groove from 5-r than the rest of the groove. its the part that the detent ball and spring ride in. Its supposed to be not a serviceable item too [archived image: frown.png] . I am fairly positive its worn, not supposed to be this way…

2nd Can it be used without the detent ball in place, or would this not be good, able to kick out of gear, or cause syncro wear? anyone know? I can't find pictures or anyother points of reference.....

I can't find much, or actually any info on this paticular instance!
