My 1989 Turbo GLL has these chrome panels on the sides that I have not seen on any other Z. Does anyone have the run down on them? Were they factory? A rare option? No longer produced aftermarket?

Huh, So I wasn't the only one with those. I had them on my car when I got it, but I removed them. Mine had some cracks and chips. I would guess they are either dealer installed, or aftermarket. They are glued on, and easily removed with a plastic scrapper tool and a heat gun.

Looks like a dealer option. I'll pass. LOL

Chrome Doors

I'm glad to report both sides look pristine like that. I was thinking of repainting the car black, then reapplying them if possible.

Kick panels .. Aftermarket ..

80s version of today's vinyl graphics!

While easy to remove, I'll warn they don't like to come off intact if you plan to keep them. Mine exploded into 10,000 pieces.
