Hello, major newbie here. I’ve been reading everywhere about all the various things we can delete from the engine bay in our Z. However I’m more of a visual learner… can anybody please show me where and how to delete these things? Such as the EGR for example?

hi there! first tip, there's no good reason to delete your idle and cold start stuff if you're not doing other mods. guys do it because they feel like they are "doing mods" (ask me how I know this) but it doesn't gain you anything on an otherwise stock engine besides issues with starting and idling, especially if you live somewhere where the temperature goes below 55 or above 80 and you DD the car.

deleting the EGR in a way that doesn't just turn into a big exhaust leak is actually kinda non-trivial because you need to reef it out of the passenger side manifold, and there's other stuff you can break in the process [archived image: smile.png] It's not worth doing just because.

The main things that you would want to do to make room for other stuff are yanking the A/C and the clutch fan, replacing the latter with an electric fan setup. Those two things massively simplify the engine bay and don't generally mess with anything else.

Deleting the cruise control servo (if you have it) makes oil filter changes easier [archived image: smile.png]
