Installed a new Steering rack, tie rods, bushings etc.

I need to get this roughly correct so I can take the

car for an alignment.

Procedure advice and or helpfull tid bits of information will

be greatly appreciated.

I can count the threads from the old rack and tie rod ends but that

is not cutting it.

eyeballs, rulers, measuring tape.... I've done my own alignments, usually takes three tries to get it perfect
