Hope you all can make it!

We had a pretty decent Z31 turn-out last year, anyone else planning on going this year?

reddzx: (2013-03-21 04:10:31)

I'm going, where can we all meet this year?

Kutakino: (2013-03-21 05:28:55)

Either one of the places from last year seemed fine to me. Depends on whether people want to meet up a little ways out and cruise down the highway together, or just meet in monroe close to the track.

Kutakino: (2013-03-24 07:13:19)

Sooo, these are the two spots we met up at last year:

First was Red Robin

18029 Garden Way Northeast Woodinville, WA 98072

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=18029+Garden+Way+Northeast+Woodinville,+WA+ 98072&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US[archived image: redface.pngfficial&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&sa=N&tab=wl]

And then we drove to Lowes near the speedway

19393 Tjerne Pl SE Monroe, WA 98272

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=19393+Tjerne+Pl+SE++Monroe,+WA+98272&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US[archived image: redface.pngfficial&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&sa=N&tab=wl]

I think Chris is coming, not sure about anyone else…what do you think Tim?

govbrown: (2013-03-24 07:33:11)

I hope on not still on nights at work I'll miss out on it.

reddzx: (2013-03-24 14:28:43)

I think we should just go straight to Lowe's this time and meet early so we can get in that damn long line on the highway earlier.

Lowes near the speedway

Kutakino: (2013-03-24 16:39:51)

Sounds good, so as far as timing goes…

The event starts at 11am, I would imagine that people are getting there pretty early just like any other event around here. If we meet up at Lowes at 845, leave at 915 that gives us 45 mins to get through the line and be there an hour early.

reddzx: (2013-03-24 18:16:02)

Sound good now lets spread to word and update weekly

stufferton: (2013-03-28 22:22:19)

I'll be going, provided I man up and buy a new seat for the car and get it stitch welded before then.

Kutakino: (2013-03-29 08:22:34)

I was thinking about registering for the premium parking but I dunno…my car isn't really show worthy.

reddzx: (2013-03-29 14:28:24)

Its not the show I care about, my cars isn't much better than yours, its the inside the event parking. If we can get a bunch if Z31 guys to register, we can park together just to show solidarity.

inqui-Z-tor: (2013-03-29 14:33:39)

Being "show worth" is somewhat subjective. I've seen cars in shows .. without hoods, messed up interiors .. even with rusted panels.

The main reason I put my car "in the shows" .. so I can park close (as you say - "premium parking") close. Call it "peace of mind" to have my Z .. someplace where I can keep an eye on it. Also, when you go to enough shows .. you develop a "friendship" with other participants and sort of "watch out for each other".

Whereas, if you park "outside" of the show .. you're at the mercy of any security they may/maynot have.

reddzx: (2013-03-29 14:38:03)

{{#if:| wrote:|Quote:}}

And at NissanFest, its a long walk from where we parked last year out on the back 40. Since there's a million 240ZX cars there, I want to show the public that they aren't the only Nissan made

inqui-Z-tor: (2013-03-29 14:42:44)

{{#if:| wrote:|Quote:}}

I like this idea .. I try to get z31s together as well .. it's been a challenge (LOL)

Jared86NA: (2013-03-29 14:54:38)

I want to go! My car is taken half-apart but I hope it is ready in time.

Kutakino: (2013-03-29 16:29:17)

Alright, I just registered for the showcase. So we'll have at least two z31 in the special parking, hopefully more. Probably tearing my car apart tonight, dropping the subframe, pulling the turbo and the front fenders. Now it's just a race against time!

Im going! [archived image: smile.png]

stufferton: (2013-04-04 07:50:09)

Out of curiousity, does anyone that is going to this happen to have an set of late style tension rod brackets I could buy off you? Perhaps 2 sets, another one for a friend that will need them in the near future as well.

Kingman: (2013-04-05 05:07:57)

Might go and park my Pathfinder with the Z31s.

reddzx: (2013-04-05 14:09:27)

lately those brackets are a hot commodity.

stufferton: (2013-04-05 16:37:26)

I blame ASCO adjustable tension rods.

reddzx: (2013-04-05 16:43:36)

Only 24,216 cars sold in the US in 1988-89 with these type of tension rods

BSRJIRONMAN: (2013-04-10 18:41:48)

I'll be there…a little late.

Kutakino: (2013-04-13 06:47:52)

This is just over a week away now. Just to keep up a little activity in here…attendance list!

reddzx: (2013-04-17 18:33:57)

Some of us will be parking in the showcase area so we may want to meet at Lowe's earlier since that area opens at 8:30 am. As stated in the ad:

If you’re coming as a team, please roll in together so we can guarantee you spots next to each other.

Roll together, Show together.

Kutakino: (2013-04-17 22:07:18)

That's what I was thinking, if traffic is worse than we thought we might not make the 10:30 cutoff.

reddzx: (2013-04-17 23:56:32)

So, we should consider meeting at Lowe's at 8:00 am or a little earlier say 7:45 am

Kutakino: (2013-04-18 00:38:49)

Meet at 7:45, leave at 8:15? Non-showcase people can use the original time if they don't want to be there super early.

reddzx: (2013-04-18 01:28:50)

Yeah, that sound good.

reddzx: (2013-04-22 00:28:55)

The only Z31's parked in the car show

nismopu: (2013-04-22 06:02:17)

did they have the vendors down and off the beaten path by the track again?

Kutakino: (2013-04-22 06:02:51)

Had a great time, it was nice meeting new people and watching the drifting they had going on. The weather wasn't too good, but I wouldn't expect anything else from the pacific northwest in the spring.

{{#if:| wrote:|Quote:}}

Not really. There were like 2 or three small booths just past the grandstands, but not much else.

ZinnZ32: (2013-04-25 22:01:44)

It was good to see your Z31's there. A few were really clean examples. The tan GL interior on the white Kouki looked immaculate!

I had my Yellow Z there (It seldom sees rain, which sucked a bit, but was a good test!), but way off in the pay parking lot. I was about to enter in the showcase, but they told me I'd have to stay almost all day, wasn't up for that at all!

reddzx: (2013-04-26 00:36:44)

That white 87 turbo has been owned by the same guy for 20 years
