Embedded video you say!?!?!?
it works!
[youtube:ngutqfez]Ewx1YnJrMsA[/youtube:ngutqfez]
The only secret to using the youtube tag is that you should use only the video ID. That's the part after the = in the URL This video is: Ewx1YnJrMsA
So you just put that in, select it, and hit the youtube button to tag it.
nice try.

+ 1,000,000
Isn't there a way to allow these links to show up like your link?
MOD EDIT: LINK IS NSFW

First video on my youtube feed.

That's what I just posted. Your video id is probably the "rqY-kSlBpbw" string. Please label future videos like this NSFW.

What about some more "smilies"? Check out the link, it's from the local houston forum.

Dont get how to embed, a lil hand holding please.
Similar to Jasons code, Im missing the simple part.
shromy: (2011-10-27 22:28:05)
Didnt get the youtube parts. thx sir.
Guest: (2011-10-27 22:28:59)
There has to be an easier way.
shromy: (2011-10-27 22:32:46)
I agree. It is easy, never though of it since others just take the embedded code that is listed.
Jason84NA2T: (2011-10-28 15:22:40)
Not and still be able to take videos from youtube URL's besides the USA version which is http://www.youtube.com
It's really simple to do, I don't get how it's not "easy" already…???
Guest: (2011-10-28 20:08:09)
Every other forum I am on you just need to copy the url and post it. But I can deal with it.

you can fire some jquery that detects youtube video URLs and automatically parses them into the [youtube] output.

[pre]BBCode: [youtube= [archived image: yt_logo_rgb_light.png] ][/youtube]
Unfortunately this limits it to only US youtube.
Jason84NA2T: (2011-10-30 00:29:37)
Which, as I explained above, is the exact reason I used the other bbcode as a universal solution. If people would prefer I can change it, but I wanted it to be open for posting from non-US youtube URL's.
?

EXACTLY. I posted step by step how to retrieve the proper piece of the URL easily, dont understand how its so hard. Its selecting part of a URL and pasting it.

Lol, this was too easy. I had to see what everyone was saying was so difficult. I don't see what's difficult or complicating about this. :quoi
shromy: (2011-10-30 16:35:21)
No one said difficult, just that it could be simpler and more intuitive. Not everyone knows alot about computers and coding. I agree it is easy once you know what to do. I for one had no clue until Mikep showed me. 99% of sites out there you can just copy the url or put in the embed code that youtube gives you, bam you have video. Maybe a sticky or announcement should be made so that others or new members know how it is done.
Guest: (2011-10-30 18:27:34)
This way adds several steps.
Instead of copy and pasting the url like you would for any other site, you have to click share, copy PART of the link, click youtube, and paste the partial link.
It would keep people from posting embedded videos all willy nilly due to not knowing how to do it.
Jason84NA2T: (2011-11-04 16:27:41)
Also keeps spammers from posting videos as easily.
Valid point, We should have a sticky on how to post embedded videos. On it.

Just wondering what are all our new options for add-ons now?
Jason84NA2T: (2011-11-05 06:50:18)
Essentially, we could vote to add any official phpbb3 mod. http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/modif … f5a58aa37d
I was hoping to eventually add two things. The first is the garage app (something we were playing with back when it was still beta) and the second is user-configurable photo galleries tied to their usernames.
shromy: (2011-11-05 07:01:49)
Wow. I knew there where options but, Dannng.
Quick reply, a rep system/i trader, anti double post, donations, would be cool to start. In due time of course.

It was noted in another thread that view active topics is not working for some… is this just a select few or what? Only thing that comes up is the calendar for me…
Guest: (2011-12-06 01:51:13)
Is there an option for, don't know what it's called, but it's a box next to a quote that when clicked directs you back to the original post.
See the little blue square next to the screen name in the quote?

Most vbulletin admins just call it "viewpost.gif" in my experience, I don't think it has a formal name.
Guest: (2011-12-12 17:59:07)
Is anyone else having some problems with mobile browsing?
My only problem so far is when I am writing a post. I can't scroll at all, it just automatically puts the text field in the top left hand corner.
OK85ZX: (2011-12-12 20:55:12)
Just tested, works fine for me on an Atrix.
DeleriousZ: (2011-12-12 22:36:24)
+1 on ATRIX as well
Racinjitter: (2011-12-18 05:43:47)
Works fine on my galaxy nexus.
Guest: (2011-12-18 07:18:10)
It's my phone. It's all messed up. Nothing works right on it.
mizagyu: (2011-12-20 15:38:30)
