Z31 (PRESSURE REGULATOR) CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE

The solenoid valve actuates in response to the ON/OFF signal from the E.C.U. This controls when the Vacuum source is applied to the Fuel Pressure Regulator.

When it is off, a vacuum signal from the intake manifold is fed into the pressure regulator. As the control unit outputs an ON signal, the coil pulls the plunger downward, and cuts the vacuum signal.

This solinoid is used to increase fuel pressure during starting when the car is hot.

Common Problems

  • Issues starting when the engine is warm
