Z31 Idle Air Control Wiring for the NA to Turbo Swap
Ok for those of you who have done the N/A to Turbo Swap on your Z31, Here is how to wire the idle controls for proper operation.
Items needed
- 2 female spade connectors
- Razor knife
- Crimper or pliers
- Extra wire (if needed)
Process
- Locate the 4-pin connector on the N/A harness that went to the N/A idle controls (on the intake plenum, driver side).
- Remove the N/A connector by unhooking the wires inside the connector. Plug these wires into the new turbo connector (use a small pick to lift the tab and release each wire terminal).
- Only reconnect the two wires for the idle up solenoid.
- The other two wires (black and blue) are for the idle control device:
- Black wire: Connects to the "up and down |" pin
- Blue wire: Connects to the "side to side -" pin
