Ok so here is the deal I bought the 85 Z it came with turbo motor (installed) however the guy I bought from said that the crank bearings on the pistons were shot. OK Cool the car also came with a NA motor that is plenty good runs like a champ (So Im told) my question is in theory I should be able to take the pistons out of the turbo motor and swap everything to the NA motor to make it turbo correct or am I going off in left field.

Many people have run the stock T3 turbo on an NA shortblock.
You'll have a higher compression and will need to adjust down the boost accordingly, depending on your ancillaries (intercooler, methanol inj etc…)
Unless you're concerned with a numbers matching motor, if it is in fact the original motor.
If the car is a stock turbo model, then the N/A shortblock assembly should just be a drop in replacement.
If the previous owner made it a turbo, hopefully he did a thorough job of it.
