Is this screw from the FSM the only way to adjust the idle or at least the recommended way?&lt;br /&gt;

Actually on the vg30et looks like the AAC valve. Of course mine is rusty beyond belief.&lt;br /&gt;

yes, the 1st diagram is the n/a valve which has the idle adjustment on the side for access. the turbo valve in the second pic has the screw on the back side of it… facing the firewall. thats where yours should be. the valves are set adjusted from factory but you can adjust it as well with a short flat head. i wouldn&amp;#039;t mess with it unless you&amp;#039;re having major issues.&lt;br /&gt;

you can remove the valve and clean it up some. or you can get another used valve over at 300zxpartsforyou.com&lt;br /&gt;
