Hello,

I finally spent the $ for a fuel sender replacement. I have an analog dash and it had the cylinder fuel sender in there. I put the new one in 25060-17P65 (the only replacement available for 84-89). It fit in nicely it seemed, and the gauge seems to work, but under movement the gauge moves a decent amount, almost like 1/8-1/4 of a tank on the sender. I didn't know which way to put it in…i thought it didn't matter. Any advice from others experiencing this? or is it a faulty one and i should send it back?

I got one in my SS and can take a photo of the top of the plate that may indicate orientation.

I've not put hardly any mileage on it and afaik, it has a half tank of fuel.
