Help!

I cannot figure out what is wrong with my Z at the moment. My idle is fluctuating all the time. When I barely press the accelerator the rpm drops off, but not to the point of stalling. If I add a little more gas the car seems to pick up just fine. I am also noticing that the car is surging when I'm speeding up, but even more noticeable when I'm coasting and slowing down. It feels like a bucking motion. Btw I am not a mechanic. From what I've read on forums I thought the tps was causing this. I tested for continuity with a multimeter and it appears to work. I re-adjusted the part, but it didn't solve my problems. I have had the ecu, fuel pump and filter replaced, new maf sensor, distributor, spark plugs, and wires not too long ago. Engine was running great. These symptoms have just appeared recently. I am going to check the codes when I have time. Can anybody provide me with a little bit of insight? Does this sound like a common issue or easy fix? Possibly the idle air control valve or chts? Appreciate any info. Thanks!

Just noticed that the fts is missing the tab that goes into the connector and the rubber is also dry rotted. I will be replacing both. If this wasn't working could it be the cause?

If your car's idling fluctuates, the rpm rises for a few seconds, next it drops and feels unsteady as if a rodeo cowboy is riding a wild bull, it is a worth while effort to check your AFM although you might have replaced it..Check the AFM wires for continuity. There is no other element in an internal combustion engine that will make the rpm fluctuates. The TPS only tells the ECU the degree of the opening of the throttle. Faulty distributor, spark plugs and the leads will only cause it to miss fire. CHTS omly tells the ECU the temperature of the engine. If the problem still persists after testing the AFM then your next best bet would be to take a look into the ECU. The ECU you replaced could be toast. .
