So for the past year or two my dad and I have had a problem with our 300. Every time we tune the car on it makes a loud obnoxious buzzing noise but if the key is put in the right spot it stops making the noise but none of the digital dash lights up. If anyone knows the problem please help.

You're likely gonna have to use a good ear and narrow down where it is coming from.

Commonly there is buzzing that can come from fans in the auto-climate sensors that are

located in the passenger footwell and adjacent to the dome light.

If you don't have a digital auto climate control then this doesn't apply.

The fans rotate on jeweled bearings and a drop of oil will quiet them.

If that's not the issue, then you'l have to resort to narrowing the source down by ear.

+1 on the auto climate control fan, that one will drive you nuts because if you're sitting in the driver's seat it sounds like it's coming from the ECU :P
