Can a non turbo be modified to function on a turbo set up? Thanks. ---- '''Acmex:''' <small>(2022-07-22 04:27:51)</small> The turbo IAC valve is set up with more mass in the plunger, a different port design, and a coil design optimized for the turbo ECU to apply PWM to adjust the average valve position. Generally that means more flow when full open, since the valve should never be full open in normal operation. Expecting the idle-up valve on a non-turbo to fulfill the same function would be setting yourself up for disappointment. I doubt it would hurt anything, but the ECU won't be able to keep it in a good position and the idle will be off.
