I ordered one from rockauto or courtesy nissan I believe. ---- '''xanmanz31:''' (2014-01-16 04:03:17) yeah damn things with two lips always making things hard. ---- '''ZEricMZ:''' (2014-01-16 04:05:35) What transmission do you have? I could search courtesy or rockauto for you quick and give you the link ---- '''xanmanz31:''' (2014-01-16 06:21:53) {{Quote|user=|}} FS5W71C or FS5R90A how can i tell? i just put it back in like 30 seconds ago has v71 on side i assume FS5W71C ---- '''ZEricMZ:''' (2014-01-16 19:16:56) Oh I don't want to speak out of my ass here. I don't know casting numbers on transmissions. If I had to take a guess, I would say that would be the # for a 71c. Better yet, what year/turbo or na? If it is the original transmission, I could just tell you the model from that. ---- '''xanmanz31:''' (2014-01-16 23:23:20) {{Quote|user=|}} door jam says 9/87 its na. id assume original trans since it had original motor. would z registry say? checked registry and only says man or auto ---- '''ZEricMZ:''' (2014-01-17 00:13:19) Alright then its a 71c more then likely. Any non turbo 5 speed were 71c's so I would put my money on that. Looking for the link to what I believe you need, one minute. ---- '''ZEricMZ:''' (2014-01-17 00:16:39) [http://www.courtesyparts.com/30542-cover-dustwithdrawal-lever-300zx-z31-1984-1989-non-turbom/t-1984-1989-turbom/t-p-186756.html http://www.courtesyparts.com/30542-cβ¦-p-186756.html] Does this look right? If I understood you correctly, you need this. ---- '''xanmanz31:''' (2014-01-17 01:27:04) {{Quote|user=|}} thats the one thanks man. btw can i fill from the shifter opening? or do i have to use the side port? ive already got shifter out and i dont have a syringe to push fluid. ---- '''ZEricMZ:''' (2014-01-17 02:28:03) What I did when I filled my trans is I used the side port and ran a hose into the cabin. Let the gear lube sit in hot water for like 10 minutes and then fill it. Makes it a little easier and faster. You could use the top I believe but don't quote me on that. ---- '''xanmanz31:''' (2014-01-21 01:32:31) {{Quote|user=|}} my thought was to pull the side plug then fill from shifter until i got a steady run out of side port. i assume you put the bottle in hot water to thin the oil so it will pour easier?
