Was it a NA or Turbo clutch? **Edit** Specifically the diameter. ---- '''bleakdragonmage:''' (2008-01-29 15:22:30) Re: Ebay Clutch Review here's a link to the auction… [http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/F1-RACING-STAGE-3-CLUTCH-84-86-NISSAN-300ZX-TURBO-VG30T_W0QQitemZ170188783937QQihZ007QQcategoryZ33730QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/F1-RACIN … dZViewItem] here is the info… F1 Racing Stage 3 clutch kit is a direct factory replacement clutch kit and it's designed for those who seek the ultimate in clutch performance and reliability. It has been working beautifully, never slipping. Clutch pedal will be significantly heavier and you will need to do the damper mod. I have beat the $hit out of that clutch and it has held up great. ---- '''bleakdragonmage:''' (2008-01-29 20:32:19) Re: Ebay Clutch Review damper mod?? what is that… and break in double…you gave it a 1300 mile breakin? wow how many miles has it been on ---- '''bleakdragonmage:''' (2008-01-29 21:12:22) Re: Ebay Clutch Review and my reasoning to do this is what…?? ---- '''XiOus271:''' (2008-01-29 21:19:50) Re: Ebay Clutch Review Good question, not too sure myself. I drove a friend's Z who had done it, and it made the clutch pedal feel a bit better (bit more responsive in a way) to me, but I would like to know sreich05's reasoning behind their recommendation. ---- '''vagabond:''' (2008-01-29 21:41:41) Re: Ebay Clutch Review Hmm, at half the price of the one on z31parts if it last 10,000 miles, I would buy one. ---- '''bleakdragonmage:''' (2008-01-29 21:46:07) Re: Ebay Clutch Review {{Quote|user=|}} thats debatable..cuz it lasts half the time it works out to the same amount of money…but you have to pull the trans twice… im curious to see how long its gonna last especially since i hit the canyon once every 2 weeks…which is what killed whatever clutch was in my car now..lol ---- '''bleakdragonmage:''' (2008-01-29 23:28:48) Re: Ebay Clutch Review got my car back…clutch feels good…im still adjusting to a 6puck lol but from what i can tell its better than what was in my car…which was an OEM clutch rofl..no wonder i roasted that shiznit… ---- '''sreich05:''' (2008-01-30 00:28:21) Re: Ebay Clutch Review 1000 miles, not quite double, it was very hard considering i put the turbo in at the same time! My damper failed due to the much higher pedal pressure, and i have had the clutch in for 6000 miles now. You did get the flywheel resurfaced right? ---- '''bleakdragonmage:''' (2008-01-30 01:25:09) Re: Ebay Clutch Review of course lol…how do you know if the damper fails… ---- '''Dman:''' (2008-01-30 01:37:51) Re: Ebay Clutch Review Gripforce is an awesome seller, I bought my fidanza from him 2 years ago, great deal and great shipping price, he also saved me customs fee's by saying it was a warranty return replacement. Great seller! ---- '''vagabond:''' (2008-01-30 12:51:54) Re: Ebay Clutch Review [quote]'''bleakdragonmage wrote:''' {{Quote|user=vagabond|Hmm, at half the price of the one on z31parts if it last 10,000 miles, I would buy one. thats debatable..cuz it lasts half the time it works out to the same amount of money…but you have to pull the trans twice… im curious to see how long its gonna last especially since i hit the canyon once every 2 weeks…which is what killed whatever clutch was in my car now..lol}} Not when My car breaks, cracks or blows something every few hundred miles anyway. 10,000 miles is about 15 years at this rate. I am fairly certain the tranny would be pulled a few times before that clutch gave out. I've seen a few of them in 400whp hondas. ---- '''dojunk:''' (2008-01-30 23:59:52) Re: Ebay Clutch Review I had an F1 6 puck sprung clutch and flywheel kit in my DA Integra And it was awesome, the clutch basket was stamped either daikin, ogura or something cant remember, it's been a while, either way it was made by one of the high end clutch companies and the quality of the flywheel was right up there with the fidanza I have now. ---- '''bleakdragonmage:''' (2008-03-12 23:39:23) updated… ---- '''TearingRaven:''' (2008-03-13 06:24:20) Get rid of that stupid damper! Its only there to pussify your clutch. With it removed, you have a much better feel from you clutch. I love it! ---- '''bleakdragonmage:''' (2008-03-13 06:37:34) {{Quote|user=|}} hahaha…im actually thinking of removing it…i think imma do it sometime within the next 3 weeks..simply because i need to do the brakes anyways…and also i have like 4 days off. ---- '''SATAN:''' (2008-03-16 05:18:57) I still have my damper. Why? Because it hasn't given me any problems yet. ---- '''chipo280z:''' (2013-07-25 06:19:21) hello im in need of a clutch and i was reading on your review and i was wondering if its still holding alright. Thanks. ---- '''Careless:''' (2013-07-25 07:38:29) digging threads from the grave, but i have an F1 clutch in the basement as I had to replace it with one that had more holding power. The one I have is still in great condition, and it's an F1 Stage 2 I believe. It felt just like stock. ---- '''slammedfc:''' (2013-09-10 23:25:19) Stage 3 six puck here. Drives like a stock clutch. Does not grab like stock clutch though. On/off engagement and very easy on the knees. XTD brand iirc. I expected it to be straight dog sh!t out of the box. Nope. I loves it so far. ---- '''ShamWow:''' (2013-11-09 14:22:01) I hated that clutch. Had the stage 1 or 2 about 6-7 years ago. On/off switch and chattery engagement. Not kind to transmissions. Stiff pedal. Replaced with southbend clutch, works awesome.
