Hey guys, trying to reach a final conclusion on this.

As far as I can tell, all 30a transmissions have identical internals that vary only in gear ratios. That being the case, I want to grab a Z32 30A since they are plentiful, strip the rear case and bellhousing off and swap them onto the Z32 trans. My review of available materials shows this can be done.

My only concern is the shift lever. I know they are different types but it kind of looks like the actual shift rod is the same and only differs by an additional shaft that attaches to the rod by a pin that is removable.

Anyone done an internal swap like this?
